Right now we are only charging 5% GST on all shoes shipped out of province. On July 1 we will have to start charging HST on all shoes shipped to Ontario, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Nove Scotia… I have no idea how we’re going to claim all of this and ensure that each province gets it’s fair share of the tax dollars that we collect. And now we’re going to be paying an extra 8% tax for our accountants to figure all of this out for us. Just doesn’t seem fair, eh?

It’s a great time to take advantage of the lower taxes by ordering your shoes before Thursday!!

We’ve noticed that a few of you have taken advantage of the virtual shoe parties to really capitalize on the shoes sale! Savvy Shoe Girls!! If you order 6 pairs of shoes you can get a 7th pair for free! You can share the savings with your friends, add a free pair to your collection or use the proceeds from the 7th pair for your favorite charity.

Check out Run with the Sun, www.runwiththesun.ca!  It’s a close to 100km run from Barrie to Toronto by 11 runners to raise money for skin cancer research/ education. One of the runners is a parent at our school and we’re going to give them $5 for every pair sold today. We had lots of fun at a  shoe party tonight.

When you host a shoe party we’ll give you a free pair of shoes if we sell 6 or more pairs of shoes. It’s a great way to share the shoes with your friends, families and co-workers and to add to your shoe collection. Tonight our lovely host decided to raffle the free pair instead. At the end of the night one lucky girl had her name pulled from an empty shoe box and won her purchase!

It hardly seems fair to start a blog and then drop out of the blogosphere for almost 3 weeks. Sorry!

Victoria has been settling back into the “real world” after a fabulous 2 week trip to Spain with hubby, minus the kids! How’s that for a perfect vacation?

I’ve been holding down the fort and trying really hard to stay focused with this weather we’re having. I know… don’t talk about the weather… but when it’s beyond gorgeous I just have to get outside and show off my fabulous Alegria Porto sandals.

BEST INVESTMENT EVER!!!

Secondly, these shoes are absolutely the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased.
